How Long Do Automatic Watches Last?

Automatic watches last roughly between 40-50 hours without additional winding. If you are wearing your automatic watch every day, then it will not need to be rewound. This is because the watches’ mechanics store some energy to keep it ticking while you’re not wearing it. This means that with regular wear your automatic watch will last for weeks.

Don’t worry, if your automatic watch does stop ticking, it just needs to be rewound. About 30 turns of the dial will restore the power and after wearing it will be start winding as you wear it. The great thing about self winding watches are the interactive mechanisms, and how easy they are to use and maintain as automatic watches can last forever. However, note that they can lose or gain up to 2 seconds a day and so they aren’t as precise as other watches.
